WHAT IS LIGHTSTIM?

LightStim VS Red Light Therapy

Though it may seem like LightStim LED Red Light Therapy and traditional red light therapy are similarly identical, LED light therapy is actually much different.

LightStim is still light therapy, but at a much lower power than traditional red light therapy much like LED lights are lower in power than a traditional light bulb. However, the lower power is much more concentrated in an LED light and can penetrate the skin deeper than a traditional red light therapy bed.

History

Light therapy using lasers is a more recent discovery than one might think. Dating back to only about 60 years, but light therapy using sunlight for healing has been around since ancient Greece and Hippocrates' "sunbathing" treatments.

Then there was the solaria in the early 1900s, a building made for sun exposure that hospitalized patients would regularly use for recovery.

Eventually, NASA discovered using LED light to grow plants in space, back in the 1980s, had been healing wounds on the hands of plant caretakers, and LED light therapy was born.

The Creation of LightStim

Scientists took an interest in LED light thereapy after NASA's discovery and conducted countless studies related to low-level laser treatments for wellness and recovery. LightStim was the first FDA approved LED light therapy to treat fine lines and wrinkles on the face, temporarily relieve arthritic pain and a variety of other aches and pains, relax muscles, and increase blood circulation.

Conclusion

Through history and research, scientists have proven the beneficial properties of light therapy and have created a comfortable and convenient way to offer it to the public. Though LightStim and traditional red light therapy solutions are much different, they can still provide the best healing light the wellness community can offer.
